This is an amazing book! One of the main things I like about it is that Rose likes homonyms, which most people aren't very interested in. I also like they added a natural disaster, hurricane Susan, more then just a heavy rainstorm (which Susan actually was!). I also like Rain, she is kind of the dog I have, a more yellow than gold golden retriever which has 7 BLACK toes and 3 WHITE toes, the opposite of rain! I would give this book a 10/10!!!

So pleased you enjoyed it Jack and I agree about the homonyms! I had never read any books by this author before and was pleasantly surprised. How did you feel though at the end? Do you think Rose did the right thing?

I agree Isobel. I am a dog lover and found this story very touching. I also felt I learnt a lot about Asperger's Syndrome and empathised with Rose and the challenges she faced.

Yes Rhianna - I thought this was a great book and I really felt the author wrote as if she knew someone a bit like Rose. Maybe we can research that?

I think that Rain Reign is a good book because it includes lots of mysteries that are only explained at the end. I gave this book a try and it started off slowly, but I soon started enjoying it. It was a book about a girl called Rose Howard who found a dog in the rain one night and decided to take it home. Because Rose has an obsession with homonyms, she decides to give her dog two names, rain and reign. I mostly enjoyed the part where she was searching for her dog, rain / reign, because she didn't give up. If I were rewriting this story I wouldn't change anything because it is amazing. I would reccomend this book to everyone, adults and children, because it is a great story for all ages.

The book I am writing about is Rain Reign. The author of the book is Ann M. I think the Genre of the book is emotional fiction.
It is about a girl named Rose who has emotional/mental problems with the dog she loves, but when a hurricane hits she takes the initiative to find him, no matter what it takes. The theme of the book is just how much a girl can care for her dog. Even with a big scary father. The book takes place in a little town with not much in it. The characters in the book are Rose, her dad, her uncle Weldon and Rain
I would recommend this book to people who have a dog and love him /her dearly. I would also recommend this book to people who have some mental problems who would like to figure out how to control them.

I read Rain Reign by Ann Martin and I think this book focus on reality fiction with a twist.
Rain Reign is about a girl called Rose, (who has Aspergers or High-functioning autism) who is obsessed with homonyms, rules and prime numbers.Ann Martin manages to keep me reading - even when Rose has a "routine" which does not change and every day is generally the same thing. at the end, it shows how Rose's bravery can make a small gesture which leads to happiness around her.
I would really recommend this book - I give it a 10/10
