I really liked this book! I liked it because it is a lot about science, which I am really interested in. Also when I looked at the cover I thought it was going to be about animals (goldfish). I really liked the T. Melvinus which was the thing that made Ellie's Grandfather young again. I really liked the ending, Jennifer L. Holm has made an amazing book!!! I would give it a 10/10!

Do you think there ever will be an antidote to ageing? Will there be a potion that can give us eternal youth do you think one day? Would that be a good thing?

This is quite a simple, but enjoyable book. I like the interaction between the characters. If you want to read a novel that teaches you something about science, then this is also a great choice.

This book is great. It is totally not what it is expected to be. It is not always fun and teaches you a lot. I would give it a 9.8/10. I would reccomend it to people who like a relaxing and twisting read.

The fourteenth goldfish is an amazing book! I really enjoyed it all the way through and the ending is such a cliffhanger. if you like science, you'd like this book. It taught me a lot. I didn't even know those scientists exist! My favourite character is Ellie because she talks sense most of the time. At first I thought it would be about goldfish as well. Guess I was wrong. I love this book!!! I give it a 10/10!

Thanks for your review Lucy and so pleased you enjoyed the book. It was one of my favourites and made me laugh out loud in places. Even though I don't have a great interest in Science I found it interesting as well as very readable. You are doing well with the reading challenge. How many books left to read?

So far this is my favourite book, I would give it 10/10. I thought that the book would be about goldfish, but I was wrong. Instead, it was about Ellie's grandfather Melvin, and how he found a fellyfish, ate it, and turned into a teenager. Ellie's dad is my favourite character because he isn't very strict, and generally is very nice to Ellie. I most enjoyed the section in the middle of the book, as I find it funny how a grandfather tries to fit in amongst teenagers, as he dresses differently and use s words that most people don't know what they mean. If I were rewriting this book, I wouldn't say that Melvin ate the jellyfish, but injected it's bodily juices into his bloodstream. I only realised after I had read the book that there is a jellyfish on ther front cover, which kind of gives away the plot.

The book I am writing about is The Fourteen Goldfish. It is written by Jennifer L. Holm. The genre of the book is science fiction.
The theme of this book is getting interested in new things. This book takes place in a state in the U.S.A. The book is about a girl named Ellie who finds out that her grandfather has turned himself into a teenager using a jellyfish. Ellie realizes that there is more to science than just mixing liquids, it’s everywhere. But her mom doesn’t agree, she is into drama, thinks that science is boring and her dad is brain washing his granddaughter. It’s a story about breaking out T.Melvis jellyfish and school days with a grandfather type twist.
I would recommend this book to people who enjoy reading. Also people who find science boring and would like to start learning about it. Thanks for reading!
